How we handle your data.
This site collects very little: the email address you leave in the box at the bottom of a page, and the emails you send us. Here is what we keep, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are
workpiece.io is the shared site of the engineers below, each trading as their own registered business. Together we decide what happens to the data on this site, so we are its joint controllers. Write to us about anything on this page at hello@workpiece.io.
- Thet Aung, Individual Entrepreneur, Tbilisi, Georgia
- Umar Adilov, Individual Entrepreneur, Dushanbe, Tajikistan
What we collect, and why
- The email address you leave in the box, and the time you left it. We use it only to write back to you, because you asked us to (UK and EU GDPR, Article 6(1)(b): steps you asked for before an agreement).
- The emails you send us, and our replies. We keep them to carry on the conversation and, if we work together, as part of our business records (Article 6(1)(b), and Article 6(1)(c) for records the law says we must keep).
- Request logs. Cloudflare, which serves this site, records each request, including your IP address, to keep the site running and protect it from abuse. We look at them only to fix problems (Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in a site that works and is safe).
What we don’t do
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising. The fonts are served from this site, not from Google. We never sell or share your address, and we never add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare serves the site, stores the addresses left in the box and keeps the request logs. If a check appears next to the box, that is Cloudflare Turnstile making sure you are not a bot.
- Resend sends us one notification email with the address you left, so we see it straight away.
- Google (Gmail) hosts our inbox at hello@workpiece.io.
Some of these companies are in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK or the EU, it is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the UK’s equivalent.
How long we keep it
- An address left in the box is deleted automatically 12 months after you left it, unless we are working together by then.
- Emails are kept while we are talking. Business records are kept as long as the law of the country we trade in requires.
- Request logs are deleted by Cloudflare within a few days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to hello@workpiece.io; we reply within a month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: the ICO in the UK, the authority where you live in the EU, or the Personal Data Protection Service in Georgia.
